Long ago, the sea was such a clear, calm, and serene place, that its surface resembled that of a great mirror stretching from shore to shore. There were no mighty waves that tumbled and crashed onto the land. This was before humans roamed this earth, and clams did not have shells. Neither were they sightless, soundless creatures who dug down into the sand. They were called cyeiila, and they were fish, beautiful fish possessing scales colored more radiant even than the sun itself. They were the prized creations of the god of beauty, Aishuaelanaoniovembo, and were the envy of all the fish in the sea.
In the beginning, the cyeiila were contented with the way they were and the cool calm water around them, and with life in general. They amused themselves by making silly little songs about the purple seaweed that lay in heaps on the flat ocean floor. One of these songs, in fact, became so popular among the sea dwellers that its tune still lives on today as the song, "Mary Had A Little Lamb".
Aishuaelanaoniovembo and Marosyocepha, the sea god, were very pleased with the cyeiila's lightheartedness and for a while the undersea world was a beautiful and entertaining place.
However, this peaceful time did not go on for long. The cyeiila became envious of each other and were jealous of the ones with the shinier scales or smoother fins; when really all of them were equally magnificent. Aishuaelanaoniovembo refused to hear the selfish complaints of the cyeiila because she was so proud of her marvelous creations, but this did not go unspotted by Marosyocepha, who was a peaceful and quiet-loving god. It came to his notice that the cyeiila were fighting between schools; not over resources, and necessity, but because of selfishness, envy, and greed. He arranged a meeting with Aishuaelanaoniovembo to discuss what should be done with the cyeiila. He wished to have them punished for their actions, but of course, Aishuaelanaoniovembo did not want this to happen to her precious creatures, and refused to speak to him. This enraged Marosyocepha so, after many hours of quiet brooding, he finally decided to go to the god of all gods, the almighty and unquestionable Bob.
In the lair of Bob the Almighty, Marosyocepha knelt before the hallowed throne on which Bob the conqueror lay nonchalantly, masticating on the offerings of popped corn and contemplatively gazing at the blessed box of moving pictures from which he received sacred messages from the unearthly entities whom he called "EhmmeTeaVee" and "Spohrtez Chan'hel". When the All-seeing Bob had finished listening attentively to Marosyocepha while still gazing at the revered box of mystical visions, he gave Marosyocepha the permission to do "Whatever, man" and to "Jeez, do something about those tentacles dude, they're really freaking me out." in his saintly manner of mild annoyance.
Marosyocepha left the lair of Bob the Unquestionable, determined to set things straight with the cyeiila and Aishuaelanaoniovembo, whom he had come to bear a grudge against for disturbing the peace of his beloved waters.  Back in his ocean realm, Marosyocepha was greeted by his nervous green-shrimp page who bore the unfortunate news that the cyeiila had uprooted all of his favored blue seaflower plants that he had created just the other day, and were using them as scale shiners and as weapons against enemy schools of cyeiila. To this day, there are no more blue sea flower plants. As you would imagine, the news that his prized possessions had become extinct by being used by some idiotic fish as cosmetics and to beat each other senseless did not go well with Marosyocepha. He flew into such a rage; he immediately went to the cyeiila and reduced them only to what they absolutely needed to stay alive. From then on, they were known as "clams". They were eyeless, nose-less, toothless, voiceless, miniscule heaps of gray flesh which miserably crawled along on the surface of the sand; helpless, even when other sea creatures swam down and ate one of them.
Marosyocepha saw this, and, slightly regretting his rash actions, gave the clams the ability to burrow down deep in the sand at the slightest sign of danger. He also gave them hard shells of all kinds that were all different in many ways.
Aishuaelanaoniovembo flew into a blind rage when she heard of her creations being ruined in such a way. She swore to have vengeance on Marosyocepha for marring the perfect beauty of the fish that she had watched over so dearly. She stormed through the sea at such a tremendous pace that the once smooth surface of the sea seemed to shatter as it rippled wrathfully, churning and dashing against the shores of the land. Marosyocepha, who became agitated even at the slightest odd movement, was tossed about by the waves. Seeing this, and full of hateful vengeance, Aishuaelanaoniovembo put a curse over the sea so that it would forever churn and toss as wildly as it was then. A second too late, she realized that she had done something horrible. She had disturbed the realms of another god, and because of this imbalance the creatures of the sea were dying. She could not stop the waves, as the curse made in fury was far too strong for anyone to break, however she managed to calm the sea somewhat, and that is how it has stayed until this day.  Aishuaelanaoniovembo then created the mysteriously stunning mist that sometimes hangs over the sea in the early morning. Then she made the clear water look blue; to repent what the cyeiila had done to Marosyocepha's blue seaflower plants, which he had prized as much as she had her cyellia.
What Aishuaelanaoniovembo did not know, was that several clams had been tossed far onto shore by an exceptionally large wave. These clams were taken pity upon by the earth god, Virillinnienetha. She transformed the clams into beings, basing their form on the god of gods, the holy Bob. They were all different, just as their shells had been, but they could run, see, talk, touch, and smell. These she named Humans, and gave means of food, shelter, and happiness, and this is how we came to be, how cyeiila became clams, and why the sea has waves.
Thanks for reading, hope you liked it!

This is a myth from a series of myths I am going to write about a made-up world. I'm planning to eventually reveal more about the God of Gods, "Bob", so if you ere kind of confused by that section, I'm sorry... I didn't really think of the order I would right these in. I just basically have it all planned out in my head.

I am currently writing a second myth, hoping to put it up in a few days.

If you have any suggestions or requests for myths, I am very open-minded and I would love to hear and write about them!
